Valentine's Day Outfit: Sweet Romantic

For the last Valentine's Day outfit look, I went with the theme of "sweet romantic" with this really pretty and sweet looking white dress with a bow at the waist. I got it on sale for $22 from YesStyle 2 years ago. I love how this dress fits me almost perfectly and it really accentuate my waist and make it seem like I have a feminine figure. (If only my arms and shoulders were a bit smaller and skinnier) I always feel a bit insecure when it comes to wearing dresses that show my bare shoulders mainly because I don't think they look feminine at all with my broad shoulders and meaty back. I envy those girls with small shoulders and a boney back. Just maybe someday I'll be able to have the same feminine figure. *sigh* ;_;

I went a little matchy-matchy with the white bow at the back of my pumps that matches with the bow at the waist of my dress. Also, I happen to find these "love" gold pearl earrings that match with the love gold necklace that I'm wearing as well. I didn't realize until now that even my iPhone case matches with my whole outfit. A full out matching white outfit! Kind of looks like as if I'm attending a wedding or getting married, lol.

Valentine's Day Outfit: Feminine Elegant

For the 5th Valentine's Day outfit look, I went with the theme of "feminine elegant" with this really pretty embroidery dress that I got from YesStyle a few years back. I love the embroidery design on both the sleeves and on the dress. Also, at the bottom skirt part of the dress, there is actually a thin layer of georgette fabric covering the dress which makes it so romantic like as if you're wearing a wedding dress. This dress is so pretty and feminine that it makes me feel like a princess everytime I wear it! ♥ I paired it up with a pair of over the knee high boots for a more elegant look.

I also changed the style of editing my pictures in this post with a more vintage theme. What do you think of it? Do you like it better than my usual plain edit with no filters?

I'd wear this dress on a date out on White Day (March 14th) also known the Japanese Valentine's Day where boys/men return their love for the girls/women who gave them chocolates on Valentine's Day. The white dress will be perfect for this White Day theme. =) It was actually also Chinese Valentine's Day (元宵節) yesterday! So many celebrations, lol.

Valentine's Day Outfit: Sweet And Adorable

For the 4th Valentine's Day outfit look, I went with the theme of "sweet and adorable". I'm wearing pink from head to toe. A super pink and girly outfit! I even had matching pink rose earrings with the pink rose hair clip accessory that I have on my hair. This outfit is just so sweet and adorable with a bit of a fairy vintage feel to it. Just try to imagine that there are wings behind my back, lol! XD

I would wear this outfit during the spring when the weather gets warmer and not just for valentine's. I absolutely love the combination of the pink sweater and the pink tulle polkadots skirt together. Isn't it just so perfect? kaoani whitebee 04

Valentine's Day Outfit: Lovely Cute

Posting this a week late but since it's still the month of February, the month of love which means it's Valentine's Day everyday! As a fashionista addict and lover, it's fashion everyday for me no matter what day it is. Always dressing the best to look sweet and cute and making my everyday life a little sweeter than it already is! *such a lame phrase* lol!

For my 3rd Valentine's Day outfit look I decided to go with the theme of "lovely cute" with this super sweet and cute hearts print pink sweater and a white layered lace skirt with pearls. This is one of my absolute favourite sweaters. I wore it to work once and my co-worker complimented on how cute the sweater was and that the hearts reminded her of Valentine's Day.

Jdrama Review: Switch Girl Season 2

So while I was sick on the weekend for the past couple of weeks, I watched the new winter drama Switch Girl Season 2 that has just finished airing in Japan last month. I watched the first season last summer and I'd highly recommend this drama if you want something funny with a bit of romance to watch. I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed. The story plot is hilarious and cute and the love chemistry between the two main characters is absolutely so sweet!

Synopsis: The drama is based on a manga adaption that revolves around a high school student named Nika who appears to be a stylish and fashionable girl at school, but that's really a fake persona that she uses when she's in public. At home, she “switches off” the facade and returns to her true slovenly nature in which she turns into a complete different person. She's really sloppy, messy, lazy, wears ugly cat jersey, eats like a pig, scratches her butt all the time, farts and goes out to the grocery store to fight for cheap food. Basically she's everything what she's not when in public at school. One day she meets a really good-looking transfer student named Arata who also happen to live in the same apartment as her. He discovered her "switched off" identity but he doesn't seem to be too bothered by it. The transfer student also has a "switch on" mode in which he looks like a complete unattractive geek with big round glasses to disguise his good looks in school. But once he's off school, he switches off to his good-looking self without glasses. So in a way they are both somewhat similar and eventually they fall in love with each other.

The main character really reminds me a lot of myself and I think many other girls can probably relate to her or maybe not. I always try to "appear" to be stylish and fashionable whenever I am out but at home I am a complete mess! Sometimes I don't even bother to comb my hair and I just leave it as it is if I'm going to be home all day. Too lazy to care, lol! I'm pretty glad that nobody really comes to visit my house all that often because I pretty much look like a hobo who hasn't shaved or washed her hair for weeks when I'm at home. LOL! I'm not even kidding. I'd be ashamed to show myself in my complete "off mode" at home, hahaha. XD

Some screencaps of some of my favourite scenes from Season 2.

Nika and Arata on a sweet sweet love date where Arata gives her a cute gold bow ring. Isn't it just the cutest gift ever?! Pffft. Who wants a diamond ring when you can get a cute simple ring like that. I'd choose a cute ring over some big diamond ring any day!! I'm not much of a diamond girl when it comes to rings. =P

Next they go to a love hotel where Nika wants to spend a "romantic" date with you know what... *coughsexcough* lol. She's fantasizing about sex in the last two screencaps and her expression is just hilarious! XD

Oh and this scene is just so much epic goodness on its own. You will just have to watch the drama to find out what it's all about. XD

In my opinion, season 2 is a lot more hilarious than the first season with a lot of more epic hilarious scenes, lol. I finished watching the whole season (all 8 episodes) in a day! That's just how good the show was. Although each episode is actually really short, only about 30 minutes per episode.

You can watch both Season 1 and Season 2 on dramacrazy.net with English subtitles.

First Winter Snowstorm of 2013

I'm so sorry for the lack of blog updates this week. I've been horribly sick and exhausted from work for the past 2-3 weeks! So I wasn't able to get much "blog related" stuff done. I was hoping to get some new Valentine's Day outfit ideas done this weekend in time to post for Valentine's Day next week but I am afraid I will have to postpone it until the week after. Although by that time Valentine's will be over but it's still better late than never, right?

While I was sick for the past few weekends, I also managed to watch a lot of dramas and movies which I will review and blog about later. =)

Another reason why I haven't had time to blog (aside from being sick and tired from work) is because we just had a HUGE SNOWSTORM here in Toronto on Friday! It is the first snowstorm we had during the winter in 5 years! Buses and trains were delayed and a lot of people couldn't even drive their cars out in the snow. Many people also had to stay home and work from home instead and I was lucky enough to not have to go to work that day. Seriously, there was just SO MUCH snow everywhere that it was impossible for anyone to even step out of their house.

Pile of deep snow outside of my house's front walkway.

My front walkway after an hour session of shovelling snow! It was snowing so much all day that day that I had to shovel snow TWICE! And I had to shovel snow both my front house walkway and the walkway at the back of my house to my garage. So it was basically a 2 hour session of shoveling snow the entire day! My arms, back, shoulders, hips and knees were in so much pain the next morning. I had soooo much trouble getting out of my bed that it almost feels as if I was paralyzed! o(X_X)o

Snow snow snow snow snow. So much snow everywhere!

According to the weather forecast, it's suppose to snow some more this coming week. Oh lord, I pray that I can even get to work without having any delays tomorrow! \(=_=")/

HAPPY CHINESE LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!

Wishing everyone good luck, fortune and mostly importantly good health for the year of the snake!

Now if only those snow outside were actually all gold and money then I'd shovel buckets of them home, hahaha. XD
