Outfit: Cat Print Dress

Hello lovely readers, I'm back with another outfit post from last week. I still have so many photos taken both on my actual camera and iPhone that has never even seen daylight yet because I never had time to transfer them from my iPhone and camera. Well, more of just my iPhone because I recently bought a new computer over the x'mas holidays and I haven't sycned my iPhone to iTunes since then because I need to backup all my stuff first (like remake my music playlist) before syncing my iPhone into iTunes otherwise I'd lose all my apps and photos on my phone and have no music in there! I have been transferring my photos (the ones I want to blog about and edit) the long way via emailing them to myself so I won't have to sync my iPhone to access them. And yeah that takes me sooooo long to do. I should really finish up my music playlist this weekend so that I can finally sync my iPhone and transfer all my photos to my computer because I am running out of storage space to take new photos that I have to delete old ones to take more photos, lol. Yeah, it's that bad. I seriously need to get a phone with more storage space when I upgrade to a new phone at the end of the year this year. XD

I LOVE this cat print dress that I bought from H&M back in the summer. It's actually very thick and warm so please don't think I am crazy for wearing a dress in this super cold weather. Well, maybe I am kind of crazy because I'd wear dresses all year round whether it's winter or summer, haha. But I layered it with a thin cardigan for extra warmth and wearing the cat ear headband I bought from eBay to match with the outfit. I'm just missing some cat print tattoo tights. Maybe I should get that for spring/summer.

I went out for dinner last Friday with a friend at Mabu Station 麻布小館 which I have blogged about before. I wanted to try their famous toast bread decorated with fruits and sweets on top.

We ordered popcorn chicken to eat as an appetizer.

This custard pudding served in an egg was actually a free dessert we got. The restaurant has this promotion where if you go eat at the restaurant and take a picture of their food and post/share it on facebook, they will give you 4 free custard puddings. After you have posted the picture on facebook, you simply show the waitress/waiter and they will give you the free custard puddings. Isn't that such an awesome promotion?! I think that is a really cool promotion. Omg, they should have more restaurants doing this! o(≧∇≦o)

The toast bread that we ordered. We actually got a fruit mix toast bread with honey inside. It was really sweet and omg, don't let the size fool you! It might actually look small in the pictures above but it's actually quite big in person. We didn't even end up finish eating the whole toast because it was honestly too big and too much! But it was quite yummy and good! =)

Jdrama Review: Shitsuren Chocolatier

Doing another jdrama review on a drama I'm currently watching that is still airing in Japan this season. I'm on episode 4 and so far the drama is not bad. I quite like it. It has many of my favourite actors and actresses in it and I like that the story is kind of light and silly. Matsumoto Jun's character is so weird but yet so cute and funny to watch, lol.

Snopsis: This is yet another one of those manga adaptation dramas (like almost 90% of jdramas, lol) that it is nothing much new. However, this drama is actually quite different in a way. The drama title "Shitsuren Chocolatier失恋ショコラティエ actually translate to "Heartbroken Chocolatier" in English. The story revolves around a guy named Koyurugi Sota who had a crush on his senior in high school, Takahashi Saeko. Saeko is quite the popular girl in school with her pretty and cute appearance where she has a reputation of having dated many guys and can pretty much get any guy she wants to date. Saeko also happens to have a strong love for chocolates. Sota's father actually owns a chocolate shop and Sota has been making chocolates and helping out with his father's shop ever since he was little. Sota got rejected from Saeko after attempting to make her a box of chocolates before Valentine's Day in hopes that it would touch her heart. However, Saeko refuses to accept the chocolates he made for her. Sota was heartbroken and decided to leave Japan and goes to Paris to study making chocolates to become a chocolatier at a famous chocolate shop in France. Sota later returned to Japan where he was given the name "Chocolate Prince" after his success in studying at France. He opened a chocolate shop and he dreams of creating the perfect chocolate to present to Saeko that it will make her fall madly in love with him. However, when Sota returned to Japan to meet up with Saeko again only to find out that she is soon getting married to an older rich man. (Yes, she's a gold digger!) Saeko makes a request from Sota and asked if he could make her wedding cake and Sota agreed to make it even though his heart is pretty much shattered into pieces. Even though Saeko is married, she visits Sota at his chocolate shop frequently to buy chocolates and even asked him out on "dates". What's her motive behind all this? Did she know that Sota was in love with her all along and she's just toying with his emotions and leading him on? You'll have to watch the drama to find out! I like that the drama focuses on making chocolates so it's definitely a must see if you are also a chocolate lover because the chocolate making scenes will make you salivate.*drools* ❤‿❤ Better prepare napkins while you watch the drama, lol.

Oh God, this is why I love Japan so much. Would look at that Christmas lights decoration in the background, soooo romantic and pretty!!! Why can't there be pretty and romantic lights like this at a park here in Canada?!( ̄へ ̄)

I'm so glad that this drama features Mizukawa Asami in it who is one of my favourite Japanese actresses. It's a shame how she always seem to be stuck doing those "supporting roles" in dramas which is a waste as I think she is a pretty good actress with great acting skills. But then again, maybe it's better that she stay in supporting roles as she often overshadows the main female lead with her great acting. She may not be the best looking actress in terms of appearance, but there's a special charm about her that makes you want to keep watching her in dramas when she's on screen and you just can't quite move your eye away from her.

Ishihara Satomi plays the female lead in this drama. She's quite the cutesy and pretty girl actress, I can see why she's been given so many lead roles. She's not a bad actress. She got extremely popular after starring in the drama Rich Man, Poor Woman with Oguri Shun, which I never really finished watching that drama despite it being the most popular drama with the highest ratings when it aired at the time. I never made it through the first episode of the drama, lol. Maybe I'll go back to finish it one day. XD I don't know, it just really didn't interest me all that much when I tried to watch it. =P Ishihara Satomi does a pretty good job at portraying her character in this drama. She's pretty air headed and is one of of those extremely annoying girls who appear to be overly cute and acts innocent all the time. I usually dislike watching characters like this but aside from her annoying cutesy behaviour in the drama, there is also a somewhat devil-ish, slutty bad girl side to her that makes her character rather interesting to watch. You never quite know what she's thinking and it makes you want to know more about her character.

What the chocolates shop looks like that Sota owns in the drama. Doesn't it look so pretty and romantic?! The screencap doesn't really do its justice. What a pretty drama set! I'd love to work in this kind of environment everyday, lol. I wonder how much money is spent on studio productions for this drama because it looks so grand and pretty! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Another thing to look forward to in this drama is the kissing and bed scenes. Hahahaha, I know I know, you're probably thinking whatttt naughty! LOL. But nooooo, if you have been watching Japanese dramas, then you'd know that kiss/bed scenes in jdramas are soooooo subtle. The two main characters are often kissing with just their lips touching against each other and there's like no mouth action whatsoever! Which is kind of odd considering how Japan is a country that is so open about sex and all. Well, I guess they do have to make it somewhat discreet for children who are watching I suppose. But in this drama we get heart felt passionate kissing and bed scenes. OH YA LIKE FINALLY!!! Okay, that just made me sound like a pervert but no, I get sooooo frustrated sometimes when watching jdramas with just the main characters kissing with their lips touching against each other that I'm about to throw a pillow at my monitor screen and say, "C'MON THAT'S IT?!?!?!" when I'm all caught in the heat of excitement, LOL! And I must say Matsumoto Jun is a pretty damn hot kisser! LIKE WHOA! Each episodes just gets better with the kiss scenes too so it builds up your tension, hahaha. XD

What jdramas are you currently watching this season?

Outfit: Star Studs Skirt

Just a quick short update on an outfit that I've been wearing to work a lot for the past couple of weeks featuring the stars stud skirt that I bought from YesStyle in this post here. It fits within my work dress code as "office casual" with it looking a bit cutesy but yet still appropriate to wear in an office environment. I actually found this white stripe short 3/4 sleeves sweater at H&M while strolling around in there one day after work. I quite like it. It's actually very form fitting and not as thick as my other winter sweaters that I can actually wear it on the warmer days during spring as well. I also picked up two thin layer skirts at H&M recently that I can wear with this sweater paired with some thin pattern tights for a more spring look! Maybe I'll show another spring version featuring this sweater in another outfit post later.

Speaking of spring, I'm soooo tired of all the ice and snow we have here in Toronto. I can't wait for the warm weather where I can wear more pastel bright colour clothes and ditch my all black, white and grey outfits. What are you looking forward to in spring?

Valentine's Day Sweets And Outfits!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

I'm posting this a day early because it is already valentine's day for some people in a different time zone. How are you spending valentine's day? With a special someone? With friends? Whether if you celebrate this sweet romantic day and if you have or don't have a special someone to celebrate with, I hope you still get to enjoy it! =)

Last year I did a series of different valentine's day outfits with different themes on my blog to inspire and give my readers some ideas on what to wear for valentine's day. This year I originally had in a mind a valentine's day outfit that I wanted to photoshoot and post on my blog but sadly I am too busy with work that I have no time to do it. However, here is a really amazing valentine's day sweet that you can make to share and eat with your friends (or special someone) that is created by one of my favourite YouTube cooking channels Cooking with Dog

Valentine's Day Chocolate Mousse! Omg, this is totally my kind of food to eat on valentine's day. I am not much of a chocolate/candy fan, so I'd rather not receive chocolates or candies to eat on valentine's day. However, I LOVE eating cakes and baked sweets. This would be a perfect treat to eat on valentine's day! And I love watching all the food tutorial videos from the channel Cooking with Dog. They are all so easy to make and look so delicious that I want to make all the food on the channel! You can learn how to make this valentine's day chocolate mousse in the video below.

Since I don't have any outfits prepared for this year, here are the 6 different valentine's outfits that I have created last year that you can take a look at for some inspiration on what to wear for valentine's day.

What are you wearing for valentine's day? I already have in mind of what I am going to wear to work tomorrow. Also, we're having a little valentine's day treat thing going on at work where we each get a paper bag decorated with our names on it and everyone brings in a little treat to put in the bag. I'll post a picture of it later tomorrow when I edit this post. My bag of treats is still at work, I forgot to take it home today, lol. XD

EDIT: My bag of sweet treats that I received from my co-workers at work today. OMG SO NOSTALGIC! It feels like I'm back in elementary school again with the paper bag and receiving treats inside for valentine's day. XD However, I will be giving away almost all these treats for my brother to eat instead because I am not much of a candy/chocolate fan and because I don't want to break out with pimples eating too much chocolates. I also don't want to have cavities from eating all the candies too because I have really bad teeth to begin with. >___<

Outfit: CO & LU Pink Overall

Hello! It's yet another Sunday.

I can't even recall what I did this week other than being busy with work and catching up on sleep. I have been so sleep deprived this week that I was having migraines at work everyday. It was soooooo horrible that I felt like my brain was going to explode. I should have maybe took a sick day off work but knowing the workaholic me, I'd still work even when I'm sick of hell unless I'm so sick that I can't even talk or move to get out of my bed.

Sometimes I just need to know my limits and not work so hard that I overwork myself and then regret it later. My body would thank me so much for it but I always somehow talk myself into thinking "I'll be okay, just work harder for 2 more days and then catch up on rest later" But then I feel like I'm going to die later and then I ask myself why do I always do this to myself?! *workaholic issues* Anyone find themselves in the same position where you think you need a break to reboot yourself but yet you don't want to because you think you can manage to get through somehow? Sigh. I just never learn. (−_−;)

Anyway, I wanted to post about another outfit that I have taken during the Christmas holidays. I know...it is so long overdue! I still have so many pictures on my iPhone that I never finished transferring to my computer to organize them and edit them so that I could post and blog about them. I'm starting to run out of space to take more pictures on my phone too. I seriously need to get a phone with more storage space when I upgrade my phone, lol.

I'm wearing this pink overall from the Japanese brand CO & LU that I have bought from Japan a few years back. I never got to wear this pink overall all that much ever since I got it but it is still one of my favourite item that I have bought. It's just so pink and cute and comfortable to wear! A great outfit to wear for those lazy days when you just want to lounge around at home and do nothing. (▰˘◡˘▰) The pink knit beanie hat is from yesstyle that I also got a few years back. It just happens to match the pink overall so perfectly! o (^‿^✿)

How was everyone's week? I hope it was better than mine.

Namie Amuro ESPRIQUE Eternal Baby-Skin CM

Sorry I haven't been updating my blog as frequently.

Work has been keeping me busy and I'm not really having a very great week this week despite it being the Chinese New Year. I'm sick and tired and last night I had to stay at the hospital until 1:30am because there was a family emergency but everything is okay now. I'm just very tired both physically and mentally and all the stress at work is making it worse!

Anyway, just wanted to do a quick update post on Namie Amuro's new ESPRIQUE foundation commercial called the "Eternal Baby-Skin" Which woman does not want to have eternal baby-skin? Namie Amuro makes me want to buy all the makeup products from ESPRIQUE because she makes them look so good!

Great God this woman is ageless! I really want to know what she eats now or what kind of skincare products that she use to keep her skin looking so youthful? Namie can pass as someone who is still in her teens in this commercial. She looks soooo young! *______*
