YesSytle Purchases: Circle Lenses & Cut-Away Shoulder Eyelet-Lace Top

It's that season again where I am back on YesStyle to shop for some summer clothes. I avoided shopping for clothes on YesStyle for spring and will also not be buying anything in the fall until winter time again to buy a few items for winter because I'll be doing all my fall shopping in Japan! =D I actually don't really have that many summer items that I want to buy from YesStyle this year, there are just a few things that I want that I know I won't be able to find at H&M or Forever 21 here.

I bought two pair of circle colour contact lenses again. I used to have a pair but it expired and I trashed them away. I didn't even get to wear the pair I had that much so I wanted to buy 1-2 new pair again. This time I'm hoping to wear them more often and not waste them, like maybe wear them once a week? I got two pairs that are not too large in diameter for a natural look so I could wear them daily if I wanted to.

The first pair I got is from the brand Cafe Mimi Lens in 3 Tone Macchiato Brown. They remind me of the ones that famous Japanese model Masuwaka Tsubasa wear from her Princess Mimi Cafe series. They are 14.8mm in diameter giving your eyes a little enlargement but not too big and they last for a year with proper care and cleaning after opening them. I wanted a pair that would enlarge my eyes a bit but not too much that it looks too dramatic and this pair was a great size for that! I also like the colour of the brown too...not too dark and not too bright.

The second pair I got is the from the brand Magic Colour Lens in Grang Grang Brown. This one is only 14.2mm in diameter which is much smaller than the first pair for that natural look. I like how this one is a little brighter in colour but still a bit subtle and not too over the top. It also lasts for a year with proper cleaning and care after opening them.

I am currently still waiting for the contact lenses to come in the mail and will do a review on them of me wearing it when I have time.

I also bought this Cut-Away Shoulder Eyelet-Lace Top a month ago. Been looking for something like this in this particular style for a VERY long time. Got this on sale and happy that I found it! I already received it in the mail a couple weeks ago but I haven't worn it out yet. I'm really loving cut-out shoulder tops lately that show a bit of your arms and your shoulders for the summer look. Want to buy more tops in this style! =)

Kanno Yui Crayme Summer Collection

I haven't been blogging as often as I used to and I really want to get back to blogging on a regular frequent basis again but I have just been really busy lately trying to organize and plan for my Japan trip. I'm currently still working on my travel guide booklet which I have printed out all information on how to get to all the places I want to visit, admission/ticket prices, hours of operation and etc. I'm about almost done completing it, there are just a few more things I need to print. I'm trying to get it all done before this month ends so I know I am all set for my trip. Never would I have thought planning for a trip to Japan requires sooooo much work but I'd rather be prepared and maximize my time there to get everything I want to do done with no regrets! Gotta make my trip worthwhile! Even though I probably plan on returning back to Japan for a 2nd time in a year after my first trip but still gotta make my first trip the best ever! =)

Anyway, today I wanted to blog about one of my favourite model from the Popteen fashion magazine, Kanno Yui (菅野結以) She's a model with quite a special charm and she's super cute. She's got that natural sweet and innocent angelic pretty look and what I like most about her is she makes wearing circle lenses so natural and pretty! It's like as if she's not even wearing circle lenses because she makes them look so natural! I love her eyes. They look so bright and full of 靈氣 like a sweet child. Yui owns a fashion brand called "Crayme" and these are some styling photos she did for her summer collection. I quite like the theme she did for each outfit look and it inspires and makes me want to do a fashion/photography photoshoot with a similar theme too.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Hello! I haven't blogged in over a week. I have been feeling too lazy for the past week to do any blog related work. I did however get my flight to Japan booked and made reservation for my hotel I am staying at. Anyway, here's a little update on my birthday.

I went to dine at a restaurant called Momofuku Noodle Bar at Queen and University right next to the Shangri la Hotel. The food was kind of expensive, $15 for a bowl of ramen which wasn't anything special. I got the pork belly ramen and two pork buns (which was a famous appetizer from the restaurant) I was researching on some new restaurants to eat at for my birthday and came across this one. What's interesting was that the restaurant originated from New York and they have 3 floors each pertaining to serve different food. The noodle bar was located on the first floor serving mostly ramen and snacks. On the second floor they serve dessert and pastry like cookies and cakes. On the third floor it's a bit more fancy where they serve food like seafood and steak. I thought the concept of the restaurant was pretty interesting but overall the food is just average. It's more of a place to go for the "atmosphere" and experience.

I came into work today and my work booth was decorated with signs and tissue papers hanging down with a birthday card on my desk. So sweet and kind of my co-workers! And to top it off, my manager let me get off work an hour early because I had lieu time from a meeting I went to a few weeks ago. =D

Got myself two small pieces of cake (green tea and mango strawberry cheese cake) and 2 egg tarts on my home from work. =)
