Maeda Atsuko & Yamapi Advertise For Hada Labo Lotion

This isn't new news anymore but I thought I should still make a post about it. Yamapi and Maeda Atsuko are chosen to be the spokesperson/image person for the Japanese brand Hada Labo skin lotion. To be honest I was quite surprised to see the two work together again after their first encounter in the drama "Ending Planner" They both look so cute and adorable in the advertisement pictures and in the commercials. And it's about time skincare companies ask Yamapi to be their image person as that man has the most beautiful flawless skin. lol.

Hada Labo Lotion is a Japanese skincare product that is really popular due to its amazing hydrating and anti-aging properties. It is said to have a bottle sold every 4 seconds in Japan!

Hada Labo is also extremely popular because the products only use the purest ingredients for hydrating and/or lightening skin.

I was actually interested in buying products from this brand before I knew Yamapi and Maeda Atsuko would be advertising for it. I'm mostly really interested in their whitening/brightening products. I was going to try out one of their lotions too since my toner was running out but I actually bought a new one to replace it a month ago so now I have to wait until I finish that bottle to switch over to Hada Labo. I'm so excited to try the brand now!

Here's the first commercial of Yamapi and Maeda Atsuko advertising for the lotion.

SONY NEX-5R Camera

I finally got a new camera. The SONY NEX-5R. I've been wanting to get this camera for so long but I kept putting it off until it went on sale last week and I ordered it online from Bestbuy. I can't explain how excited I was when I received it in the mail. I can't say whether if I like the camera or not yet as I haven't really had time to fully play around with it and test it out. I've been busy this week prepping for job interviews and I have another one coming up this week. So hopefully after next week I will finally have some time to sit down and figure out how to use this camera. This is my first time buying a somewhat professional camera. Although not pro to the extreme of an SLR camera. I thought about it but I'm sort of a "camera dummy" when it comes to advanced and complicated gadgets that requires too much learning. So I think getting a DSLR would be much more suitable for me and more handy to carry in.

Some of the great features of the SONY NEX-5R:

  • Wi-Fi sharing where you can upload pictures directly from the camera
  • 180-degree tilt-able 3.0 Touch LCD (great for taking self-shot portraits)
  • Sweep panaroma shot to take full view large scale photos
  • Fast hybrid AF with phase detection auto focus for quick response that is ideal when tracking fast-moving subjects
  • Shoots full HD movies with 1980 x 1080 resolution
  • Downloadable apps to edit pictures with on the camera
  • Self remote function to take self shots using a phone device (iPhone and Android)

One of the major main reasons why I bought this camera was because it has a self remote function where you can connect the camera to your phone using wi-fi and you can actually see on your phone screen what you're taking a picture of. It's sort of like having the camera LCD screen on your own phone screen. This function is super awesome for fashionistas like myself who love taking self full body outfit photos. Popular blogger Cheesie also uses it! No more crappy and blurry images of full body coordinate shots taken in front of a mirror with the iPhone. XD

Some examples of what I mean with the self remote function using a phone device. Pictures are taken from Cheeserland's blog. She basically placed the camera on a tripod and used her iPhone as a "control" to take those full body snapshots that look like as if she's standing in front of a mirror to take the pictures. Isn't it so awesome?!

I've tried using this function today for a short little while and it works great. I haven't tried taking a full body shot of myself yet like in the above pictures but I hope it turns out as great as Cheesie's. I've always admired how clear her pictures turn out! I'm so excited to do my own fashion coordinate shots. I can finally say goodbye to taking full mirror pictures with my iPhone.

And also now that I bought a new camera, you can expect much more higher quality photos to be uploaded on my blog in the future! First I need some time to figure out how to use all the features and functions on the camera and get the hang of it, lol.

Spring Shopping! (Aldo Accessories and H&M)

Did more spring shopping this week from Aldo Accessories and H&M. I think I'm almost done spring clothes shopping. I just have a few more key items to get and I'm all set for spring! =D

I got these really pretty mint green, gold and pearl rings from Aldo Accessories on Friday. This is actually my first time ever buying rings in my entire life. Anybody who knows me personally would know that I am hardly ever seen wearing any rings simply because I don't like the "feeling" of having rings on my fingers. It kind of gives my fingers this very itchy and tickling feeling and I don't know why. I'll probably never wear my wedding ring when I get married in the future but instead I'll wear it on a necklace. I'm sorry future husband, you'll have to deal with this weird allergy (can it be considered as an allergy since I kind of have allergic reactions to rings?! XD) that I have, lol. However, these rings didn't give me any uncomfortable feelings at all when I tried them on and I was just so in love with them that it felt almost like it was love at first sight! I also love that the mint green, gold and pearl is a perfect colour theme for spring. It's so refreshing and with a hint of the soft girly cute look. ^___~ I finally found out what my ring size is too, which is 7 so now I know for future reference when I buy rings! XD

Got this light blue button up dress shirt from H&M last week. I love the fabric on this shirt. It's super soft and thin that it's great for layering in the spring and summer on cold days when it's a bit chilly. I especially like how it's got a bit of stripe details on the inside of the sleeves at the bottom cuffs when you fold them up and at the back of the shirt near the collar. Also, the "patch" detail on the elbow of the sleeves is a super cute special touch add-on!

Because I love the light blue dress shirt so much I actually went back to buy a pink version at H&M on Friday! I don't think I have anything in this light of a pink so it's a great new colour to add to my wardrobe. =)

I was also cleaning and reorganizing my closet on Friday night. I put away all my thick heavy winter clothes and start organizing all my spring clothes. It wasn't until I started going through my spring clothes that I have found so many clothes I bought before that I have forgotten about. I've been buying some much clothes lately that I haven't actually got the time to sit down and plan how I want to wear them. Things like what do I currently have in my closet that would match with this skirt, what item am I missing to match with this top, or how can I wear this top in ways to create 3 different outfits and make the best use of it? These are the kind of things I usually ponder about after I buy clothes home. I also always go by the rule of how can I match this top/skirt to create 3 different outfit looks whenever I go shopping for clothes. If I can't think of at least 2 other ways of wearing the top/skirt then I usually pass on getting the item. It really helps to save me money in the long run because I absolutely hate buying clothes that you can only wear once in one way and no other. I try to avoid making purchases on clothes like such unless I really like the top! It just really makes me feel like I wasted my money and not really getting for my money's worth. Always shop smart and save and not buying whatever appeals to the eye.

Another big thing I want to take into consideration while shopping for spring/summer clothes this year is colour. I'm trying to buy clothes in colours that I currently don't have. Colours such as purple, mint green, red and yellow. I also want to consider trying new styles too and not buying too much of the same material or style/type of clothes. For example, I have 3 long tulle skirts for summer in almost the same colour. I think this summer I want to focus more on getting shorts in different colours with unique patterns and prints on them rather buying more skirts that all look the same. I need less of the "same" type of clothes in my closet and more variety. I just feel that I tend to get sick and tired of my clothes more easily when they're all looking somewhat the same. I need a change for once this year! I think I might need to write myself these friendly "shopping tips and reminders" on my iPhone notes just so I don't forget them when I go shopping. LOL. =P

Shiseido Benefique Skincare Line

Left: Yuri Ebihara (Japan's famous top model) Right: Melodee Morita (Japanese American ballet dancer and YouTube Artist) at the SHISEIDO Benefique Launch Party in NYC.

Earlier this week I watched a video by YouTube artist Melodee on the new Shiseido Benefique skincare line launch party in NYC. (Click here to watch Melodee's vlog video on youtubeI was truly amazed and shocked! Amazed by how stunningly beautiful Yuri Eibhara looks in person and shocked because Melodee got to meet one of Japan's top famous model!

I've been a huge fan of her! Yuri Ebihara always looks stunningly beautiful with flawless and radiant perfect baby skin. I can't believe she's currently 33 years old but looks as if she's only 23! I used to follow her in Japanese fashion magazines when she was still modeling for CanCam (a Japanese fashion magazine that focuses on OL/business fashion for girls in their early to mid 20's) and then she left to model for AneCam (Japanese fashion magazine that focuses on OL/business fashion for women in their early to mid 30's) She has what I call the definition of "perfect" skin. I wish I could have beautiful flawless radiant and baby smooth skin like her when I reach her age. She has the perfect skin of every girl/woman's dream! ♥_♥

The new Shiseido Benefique skincare line focuses on improving skin to make it look more radiant and smooth and as well as making skin to look more youthful! They sell a variety range of products from cleansers to toners, special treatment creams and even whitening products! You can learn more about their products here on their English American website and more on their official Japanese website

I don't think I have much of a need for this skincare line as of yet, but I'd definitely need it in a few years down the road! XD So for now I'm writing this post as sort of a "future reference" for me to look back on when I need some anti-aging products after I turn 30! LOL.

Some pictures of Yuri Ebihara from the official Japanese Shiseido Benefique website. She is sooooooo pretty like an angel! If I could trade faces and have anyone's face it'd definitely be her. So much perfection that is seems so surreal. She's like a dreamy goddess! SOOOOO PRETTY.

Spring Outfit Inspos from Seventeen March 2013

Sorry for the lack of updates!

It's almost been a week since my last update. Real life got a little busy and I was extremely stressed over some personal issues that's been going on in my life. Went out and had a talk with a friend on the weekend last week and I now feel a whole lot better. It feels like I got a lot of stress off my chest and my body feels a whole lot lighter than it was before. Before I was feeling like I was carrying a huge rock on my chest every day. X_X

Anyway, now that that's over, I'm soooooo excited to plan all my spring outfits. I have so many in mind that I want to post/talk about. We finally got rid of all the horrible ice snow and cold weather. (Although it's still kind of cold right now but it's getting warmer!) I also can't wait to go see cherry blossoms again this year!

Lately I've been really into the "street fashion" style. Everything I like revolves around funky caps with spikes, spike boots, wedge sneakers + skirts, leather jackets + dresses, converse shoes, military jackets and tattoo tights. I want outfits that are more towards the "edgy" style. Something more "casual and fun" and totally opposite of the girly style of floral pants/dresses, lace tops, skirts and dresses. I think it has to do with the fact that I currently have a lot of girly clothes in my wardrobe for spring so I want something that's more on the boyish side. (I feel like the inner boy side of me is calling for me XD) Or maybe I just need a balance in the between the two. I don't know. I always feel that my style tends to fluctuate so much. One moment I'm all in for girly outfits and the next moment I'm in for the dark and edgy punk look. I blame it on the fact that I'm a gemini and gemini people are suppose to have split personalities. =P

Okay, enough blabbering. I'm pretty sure you're sick of reading my complains by now. Here are some inspo outfits I'm really into from the Seventeen March 2013 issue.

Mickey Mouse Outfit

The weather's been getting warmer lately and I can finally wear my mickey mouse sweater with skirts! But still not warm enough to be wearing skirts out without tights though so I still need to layer up to keep warm. Can't wait to wear skirts when spring is here. I just can't seem to be "myself" wearing pants to stay warm in the winter, it somehow doesn't feel right. Maybe it's my own personal preference but wearing dresses and skirts have seem to become a big part of my fashion style over the years.

Also, it seems like it's a been a very long time since I last took any outfit pictures with my hair straight. Speaking of hair, my ends have been getting extremely dry with split ends. I think I need to visit the salon for a hair trim and oil treatment. I'm also thinking of whether if I should get a bangs cut while I'm at it. I'm just not so sure how I feel about getting a hair change right now. I always fear that I might regret it afterwards. Ah, what to do?

Outing And Forever21 Shopping

Taking a break from outfit/fashion snapshots and sharing some instagram food and shopping photos that I took with my iPhone.

Went out with 2 friends last week to Koreatown for lunch and coffee.

Since I don't drink coffee, I ordered a hot chocolate instead. Love the "latte art" on my hot chocolate! My friend took us to this coffee shop called "aroma" on Bathurst and Bloor. They apparently have really good pastries but I didn't get to try any because I was so full from my lunch. XD

My chicken teriyaki with rice lunch at New Generation Sushi

Did some shopping at Forever21 this week and bought this stars print light denim jacket. Perfect for layering in spring! I kept the tag on because I wasn't sure if I might change my mind and want to exchange for a smaller size.

Actually got these cat ear headbands from eBay and not Forever21. Bought these awhile back and finally received them in the mail this week! Can't wait to wear them with my spring outfits! =D

Got this elegant and classic looking little lace black dress from Forever21. I love that it has a collar! (Which you can't really see that well in the picture.) I was so drawn by the collar design and the lace that I just had to buy it without second thought. lol.

And lastly I got these pretty and simple everyday wear stud earrings. I always seem to have way TOO MANY flashy big earrings that on days when I feel like keeping my outfits and accessories simple that I never have anything to wear. It's the same when I shop for clothes. I'm always forgetting about simple basics and always drawn more towards clothes that have more details with pretty designs.
