Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!(❁´▽`❁)*✲゚*

I was a bit more festive this year. I wore red and had fun playing with these Christmas filters with a new photo app I downloaded recently. I'm loving the filters on this app so you may see more selfies of me on my blog taken with the app next year, lol.

I also received these 2 pretty and elegant looking festive earrings from a friend as a Christmas gift. Love them a lot. Can't wait to wear them and pair them with my outfits.

Aurora Winter Festival

So while I was looking at new festive things to do for the winter, a friend of mine suggested to go to the Aurora Winter Festival at Ontario Place. Which the festival has been around for a few years now and I've never been to it until now. And I have to say that it is one of the best winter lights festival I have been to in Toronto. It was freezing cold on the day when I went but it was so much fun that it was worth going in the cold weather. There's so much to do at the festival with rides like the ferris wheel, carousel, a big long slide and even a skating rink for family and kids to enjoy skating in. The lights attraction was also beautifully arranged and you could even play games and win prizes. I'd definitely love to go back again next year in the winter time.

Review: Taiyaki NYC in Toronto

Another food review. Also saw this on blogto when I was bored at work, lol. I have been seeing these taiyaki ice cream on instagram everywhere and always wanted to try them. Finally there's one opened on Dundas and Bay so I went to try it out.

You can buy the signature taikyaki or build your own ice cream with different toppings! You can also get the ice cream on a taiyaki cone, ice cream cup or on a waffle cone. I'd recommend eating the ice cream really fast if you get it on the taiyaki cone cuz it melts pretty fast.

They also serve tea beverages too and if you order any matcha drink, there's a deal for buy one get one free during happy hour Mon-Fri from 1pm-4pm.

There's even a backdrop background with a pretty pink rose flowers wall for you to take the perfect picture to post on instagram. We asked the cashier which is the most popular signature taiyaki to get and the person said the unicorn is good for pictures but the best tasting one is the matcha. He's right about that. The unicorn taiyaki surely looks good in photo but did not taste as good. I'd like to go back to try a different flavour again when the weather gets warmer as it's too cold to eat too much ice cream now, lol.

Review: Robo Sushi

I was on blogto at work one day and discovered this new all you can eat sushi placed called Robo Sushi and it looked really interesting and unique that I had to go try it. Robo Sushi is the first restaurant in the country where hostesses and serves are robots on wheels. The robots are also manufactured and shipped all the way from Japan!

The robot actually takes you to your table and it shows a picture of you following the robot on the screen at the top of its head which I thought was really cute and cool!

It was near Halloween when I went so they had Halloween decorations all around the restaurant.

Review: Hana Sushi

So while I was bored at work on blogto, I discovered this new sushi place called Hana Sushi that serve sushi on a rotating conveyor belt. But what's even cooler is that they have food served on a monorail bullet train (shinkasen) just like the ones you can ride in Japan. And as a food lover, especially for Japanese food, I decided to go check it out.

I like that they had pictures of places from all over the world posted on the wall to make it look like the bullet train is traveling to places as food is served.

The prices for each dish is sorted by a colour-coded system with white being the lowest priced and black being the highest priced and with green, blue, and red the in between. I like that they even had some sushi etiquette tips to educate their customers on how to properly eat sushi, lol.

For drinks they had alcohol, smoothies and even detox water!

A menu explaining the different type of sushi rolls and the ingredients in it. The Pink Lady, Red Dragon, and BBQ Eel & Avocado was among my favourite.

Namie Amuro's Retirement

I can't believe this day has finally come. The same day last year when Namie Amuro announced that she will be retiring from being a singer came to be a shocking news to all her fans. Although I wasn't as shocked as I always knew and kind of anticipated that she will most likely retire soon when she is 40. Still, it's quite sad to know that we'll never be able to see her perform on screen anymore from now on.

It also saddens me to know that I will never get to fulfill my dream of wanting to watch her concert live in Japan before she retire. I will definitely miss seeing her advertisements in drug stores in Japan. Since I couldn't go watch her last concert, I took the opportunity to buy her last concert DVD in order to cherish the moment and memory of her very last time performing on stage.

I grew interest and started listening to Namie Amuro's music in 2008. It all started with her BEST FICTION album. I simply fell in love with her charisma and music style. It was so different and unique! I can't believe it's been 10 years since I've been following her. But what I have always loved about Namie Amuro the most is her smile and the positive energy she expresses through her singing and dancing. Her music has also given so many of her fans courage, inspiration, dream and hope. Thank you Namie Amuro, for proving that women can be independent and successful no matter at what age. Thank you for being our Hero! May you live the best life ever after retirement in peace and happiness.

Namie's eternal beauty and legacy will forever will live in the heart of the million of fans in Japan and all around the world! There will possibly never be another Namie Amuro to exist that will have the same beauty and charisma as she does on stage. She is the only and only Namie Amuro! I love that despite how humble and shy she is in real life but yet she's full of confidence when she is singing on stage.

Also many people made a guest appearance at her last concert in Okinawa today on September 16th including DOUBLE, Jolin Tsai, and even Yamapi made a special appearance to perform on stage with her for the first time and last time ever. OMG someone please release this video on the web soon! I have been dying to watch Yamapi and Namie perform on the same stage together for 7 years! I'm soooo happy and grateful Yamapi made this a dream come true and it's really nice of him to make a trip all the way to Okinawa to support her retirement! Even Tokyo Tower is light up in a special colour in celebration for Namie Amuro's retirement. She is so loved by all the fans and people in Japan! I'm sure nobody wants her to retire in the whole country but maybe someday she'll make a comeback. Who knows. ALL FOR 916 WE  NAMIE!

I also received my copy of her last concert DVD in blue ray at Tokyo Dome earlier this week. I will forever cherish this DVD for the rest of my life because it is soooo precious! T___T
