Japanese Roomwear: Sweet Romantic

I decided to go with the "sweet romantic" theme for my second roomwear coordinate. This one is much more girly compared to the first one that's more casual and cute. For the top I decided to go with an open hole knit pink sweater and layered lace shorts for the bottom. The combination of the two creates a very sweet and girly look. I also opted out the slippers and wore these pink pumps to match my pink top for a more feminine chic look. And lastly I added a gold pearl cross necklace for a soft romantic feel to complete the whole outfit.

Japanese Roomwear: Only Heart Knit Sweater

Sorry for the lack of updates! (シ_ _)シ The holidays has been making me busy although I am mostly doing nothing at home but being lazy all day and sleeping in. The best way to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays ever! o((*^▽^*))o I am going to miss these relaxing lazy days when I have to return back to my boring work life that I dread so much and my endless job search for a new job. I'm really hoping that I can find a new job in the up coming new year of 2013 before March. Maybe the new year will bring me some good luck and fortune, lol. *Crossing my fingers*

Since I'm actually home most of time so I can't really do any outfit of the day post as I haven't stepped out of the house for almost the whole past entire week. So instead I've been making an effort to take some outfit snaps of what I actually wear at home. I call it the "cute and cozy" roomwear inspired by roomwear coordinates that I saw in Japanese fashion magazines. The concept and idea is very simple. It's basically just wearing anything that is loose or oversize and comfortable to laze around the house in but still remaining to look cute. So I picked out a loose-fitted knit sweater top with some basic denim shorts and a cute pair of leopard print slippers. A simple but yet cute and casual coordinate that's perfect for those stay at home lazy days. (◕‿◕✿)

Sweet December 2012 Scans

I was going through some scans from the Sweet December issue and found some inspo outfits for spring that I'd like to try. I always like to set my mind out for what I'm going to buy next season with the aim for trying out different and new styles that I have not in the past. When it comes to fashion, I'm all about embracing new ideas and looks for outfits. I want to try as many different looks as possible while still remaining true to my original style. It's just that I like to see myself grow and transform as I mature and get older.

I'm obviously still not over my love for leather skirts. It's on my "must get" item for the spring as well as getting a nice leather jacket. Also, I can't seem to stop my obsession with fake collar necklaces. Peplum skirts is also something I'd like to try for the spring as I don't have any in my current wardrobe. I used to think Peplum skirts are more for older and mature women but now I'm seeing that they can be quite suitable on much younger women who are in their early to mid 20's.

Floral print pants and skirts have been a big hit in the past recent years. I'm beginning to notice them more in stores now and developing a love for them. I'd like to get a few pattern print skinny pants for the spring to change up my usual look of wearing skirts all the time. After all it has been years since I last bought a new pair of pants although I think I'd most likely being wearing my skirts and dresses more, it's nice to have options for a change sometimes. lol.

Japan and its cat obsession. I want the cat pearls ear headband, it's so cute! Another one of my "must get" items for 2013.

And I will forever have a love for lace dresses! I just can't ever get enough of them.

Christmas Lights In My Neighbourhood

Since it's almost Christmas so I thought I should post these pictures up. Took these pictures while I was walking down my street one evening. I always love walking down my neighbourhood whenever it's the Christmas holidays because of the pretty light decorations that the people put up on my street. I honestly think I live on the best street ever. It's always filled with so many pretty and interesting decorations every year during Christmas and Halloween. It's one of the reasons why I never want to move out of this area simply because of all the wonderful and artistic people in my neighbourhood.

New Clutch Bag From Forever21

I did some more damage shopping earlier this week. Okay, I swear I'd not shop anymore after this (or at least try really hard not to) until Spring 2013! XD

Picked up a thin knit sweater from H&M on sale for $20 and a pretty flower lace peplum top with a zipper at the back for the spring. Also got a new white leather clutch bag with a gold chain from Forever21.

Can't wait to wear this lace top in spring! =D

SO IN LOVE WITH MY NEW CLUTCH BAG! I've been wanting to get a clutch bag like this for a really long time so I was happy when I found this. It's so classy and elegant looking and just the right size too. They also have this in a mint green colour as well but I like the white one more because it's easier to match outfits with. Now all I need to get is a classy black clutch bag and my life is complete! =)

Knit Collar Necklace Outift

Another collar necklace outfit inspo. This one is more casual and fun! Knit sweater from Suzy Shier, jeans from Stitches, beige fringe boots from Spring and knit collar necklace from Forever21

Super casual outfit where the necklace totally brings out the focus point of the outfit!

I love the knit pattern on this necklace. It is sooooo pretty! Also got many compliments from people at work asking me where I bought the necklace from. It only surprises them even more when I tell them I got it on sale for $7! =D

Pearl Diamond Collar Necklace Outfit

Outfit inspo. I should probably take more pictures of these kind of outfit inspos that I see almost everywhere on instagram and blogs. They're so much fun to do! My knit sweater is from Suzy Shier, collar necklace from H&M, white black polkadots skirt from Forever21, beige fringe boots from Spring and my knit hat with a bow is from le chateau

I am collar necklace obsessed! Ever since I saw them in ViVi awhile back I have been in love with them. I only noticed them recently being sold in stores here in Canada and I was soooo excited to see them! I want to buy more collar necklaces because I simply can't get enough of them. ♥ By the way, my knit hat doesn't come with the little black bow originally. I used a hair bow clip and pinned it to my hat since my skirt has black polkadots on it so I wanted it to match. Plus I just bows cuz they'e so cute and it makes my whole outfit a whole lot cuter too, don't you agree? =)

An individual close up picture of my pearl with diamonds collar necklace since you can't really see it that well in the other pictures. Love love love this necklace sooooo much! I always get so many compliments at work whenever I wear this necklace.

My Favourite Winter Boots

Following my last post on YesStyle shoes haul and review, this post will be dedicated to my favourite winter boots!

I bought these beige fringe boots about 3 years ago and I am still loving them! If you haven't realized already, I tend to have a thing for anything with fringe. I even have a pair of fringe sandals too! I DIY-ed this pair of fringe boots with some feathers at the back (it didn't come with the shoes originally) just simply because I love feathers and because I think feathers are a nice accessory piece that is a great match for the winter. I always get so many compliments from people whenever I wear these boots out and I absolutely love when I walk with these shoes on and the feathers at the back are swaying back and forth that it's just so cute! I'm one of those people who don't like boring things. Everything that I have bought or own, I always like to think of ways of how I can make it look cuter and prettier to suit my own personal unique style. Don't you think adding the feathers make the boots look a whole lot cuter and more unique?! =)

Brown knee high boots that I bought a few years back as well. I also DIY this pair of boots by tying a feather hair accessory around the boots for a more winter look. Just adding a simple hair accessory can change the look of the boots to look more "kawaii".

Mid-calves black boots with strings at the side. These are my most worn winter boots. They pretty much go with any outfit that I wear and I wear them almost daily!

Side-bow black boots. I love bows! They also have platform heels so it gives me a little height boost. Love how cute and elegant these boots are.

This is my all time favourite boots to wear in the winter! It's a long over the knee high boots with heels. This pair of boots is like having 10 pair of boots in 1 because you can adjust the length of the boots to any length you want! Isn't that so awesome?! I especially love wearing these boots with dresses because it gives off that elegant sweet look and it also elongate my legs making them look longer.

YesStyle Shoes Haul & Review

I decided to make a haul and review post on shoes that I have purchased from YesStyle just to give my readers some of my thoughts and opinions about buying shoes from them. First off, I want to make it clear that I am not affiliated with YesStyle in any way and I am not sponsored by them or paid to write this review. I bought everything with my own money and this is simply my unbiased opinion. I realized I've been buying quite a lot of shoes in the recent years. On average, I buy about 5 new pair of shoes a year. That might not sound like a lot to other people but that's a lot to me. lol.

One of the reasons why I love purchasing shoes from YesStyle so much is they actually carry my size. I am a size 5 and my feet is only 20cm long. Yes, I have really small feet that are like baby size! It is extremely difficult for me to buy shoes here in Canada that fits me, especially for tighter wear shoes such as flats and pumps, I will never be able to find any that fits me in the stores available here. Another reason being is they have a large variety of styles to choose from and they're relatively cheap and affordable. When I say cheap, I mean you can get a pair of shoes for as low as $10 and under. Also, I tend to like Asian brand/style shoes more because they look way more nicer and cuter than all the plain boring designs from American brands we have here.

Shoes #1: Fringe Cowboy Boots
I've always had a love for cowboy boots. These ones have fringes at the side and are just so adorable and cute! It also has a thin layer of wool inside the boots to keep you warm from the cold in the winter. They are also suitable to wear in the spring/summer as well and won't make you feel too hot wearing them. I love the braids pattern design around the top and bottom of the boots (which you can't really see clearly in the picture, it's hard to capture details of black objects in a photo) and the wooden short heels that give you a little height boost.

Shoes #2: Heart-Buckle Strap Ankle Boots
This one is one of my absolute favourite. It has these two super cute heart-buckle strap that is removable to tie around the boots when you fold them down at ankle length. Or you can leave them how it is in the first picture. Isn't it just so neat and versatile? I love boots where you can transform them into different style and looks to match your outfits. It saves you money from having to buy another pair of shoes and avoid the trouble of having too many pairs of shoes as well. It's like a 2 in 1 kind of shoe and definitely worth buying and having.

Shoes #3: Black Gold Studs Ankle Straps Pumps
Every girl needs a classic pair of black pumps. These pumps are so classy and elegant looking that they're just perfect! The straps at the ankle is removable so you can wear the pumps without them. What I especially like about this pair of pumps is the gold studs on at the top of the heels and at the bottom on the front of the shoes. I think the gold studs adds a more sophisticated glamorous look to it and makes it look even more classy and elegant.

Shoes #4: Mocassins
Just a pair of very simple mocassins. I love these shoes! They fit me so perfectly and are super comfortable to wear.

Shoes #5: Lace-Up Perforated Flats
I got these shoes in a size too big in size 6. I think it was because size 5 was sold out and I thought going up a size would be okay since it has laces and I can always tighten them by tying the shoes laces. However, they're still a bit loose on me but with socks on they're much tighter and won't slip off when I walk with them. These shoes reminded me so much of oxford shoes but a bit more casual and fun to wear.

Shoes #6: Pink Fleece Laced-Up Boots
I cannot express how much I love these boots! I've always wanted a pair of pink boots and these are just too cute and adorable to resist. You can wear it half down with the fleece showing or folded up at full length. Another one of those very versatile boots that you can change up the looks. Absolutely in love with these boots at the moment and I've been wearing them out a lot and got so many compliments from people asking me where I got them.

Variety of Styles: 9/10
Overall, I'd say YesStyle has a pretty large variety of styles of shoes to choose from. Everything from flats, pumps, boots, wedges, sandals, platforms and slip-ons. You can pretty much find everything. What I like most about their shoes is the unique designs that you can't find here in Canada.

Overall Quality: 8/10
Truthfully speaking, I find most shoes that I've bought to be in pretty good quality. I have not purchased any shoes that has break on me on the first day of wearing them. The shoes that I have bought are pretty sturdy and last for quite a long time under proper care. However, I have bought 1 pair of shoes that did not match my standards. The shoes wasn't in "bad quality" but it wasn't the same of what was shown in the picture online and what I actually received. The material of the shoes was very different from what was shown at the website and it was the only one time I was disappointed in my purchase. However, if you ever do feel that the shoes don't quite match from what you have expected it to be. YesStyle does have a return and credit back policy where you could return the shoes back to them in original new unworn condition and they will not refund the amount you paid but give you a credit amount on your next purchase.

Overall comfort: 8/10
I think this really depends on the type of shoes you get, such as sandals, pumps, boots or flats. I'd say most of my boots and flats that I have bought are pretty comfortable to wear unless they have heels. But then again no heels are ever comfortable to wear no matter what brand. Some shoes might take longer to break in to actually feel comfortable in them while others are painless to begin with. Overall, I'd say the comfort of the shoes from YesStyle are pretty much in the high end.

Overall Price: 8/10
Like I've mentioned at the beginning of my post, prices are pretty affordable and cheap where you can buy shoes for as low as $10 and under. However, there are some pricier shoes on the site. I find most shoes from Korea are usually in the higher amount and I usually refrain from buying them unless they're on sale. And speaking of sale, YesStyle always have sales on and especially the end of season sales. So if you don't have a lot of money to spend or if you want to save money, I'd suggest buying shoes when they have end of season sales.

Hope this post was helpful to you and enjoy your happy shopping experience! =)
