Japanese Fashion & TV Magazines from Japan

Sorry I haven't been updating in the recent week. I bought some new furniture for my room, a 5 closet drawer table and a bookcase and I have been super busy putting the two furniture together and as well as packing and organizing some stuff in my room. I'm actually taking a short break right now to update my blog with a post on some Japanese fashion magazines and TV magazines that I bought when I was in Tokyo during my Japan trip last October in 2014. One of the things I loved doing while I was in Tokyo was going into the convenience stores and just looking at all the magazines on the magazines rack. I don't know why, but it brings me so much pleasure and joy whenever I do so~ O(≧▽≦)O

I bought 4 Japanese fashion magazines when I was in Tokyo. Ray, JJ, Sweet and ViVi which are my top 4 favourite magazines for Japanese fashion.

I bought the Sweet magazine because Rola was on the cover and because I wanted the free super adorable Snoopy tote bag that was included. It's a Snoopy x Cher collaboration tote bag. You can reverse the tote bag on different sides for a new look! Isn't that sooo cool? I LOVED it and I was even wearing it out to carry stuff when I was in Tokyo. XD

I also bought ViVi because it is my #1 most favourite Japanese fashion magazine and because Rola is on the cover again. But actually, the real reason why I bought ViVi was because I know that Yamapi is featured in it every month for his monthly column in the magazine, lol. =P The ViVi magazine also came with a free Attack on Titan x BEAMS collaboration tote bag. I didn't know what Attack on Titan was at that time but I just knew it was quite popular as I recall seeing it everywhere I go in Tokyo. It's a two sided bag with one side being Attack on Titan and the other side with BEAMS written on it. BEAMS is actually a popular Japanese fashion brand in Japan which I quite like their clothing and style. This tote bag is so handy and fashionable. I wore it out a few times when I was in Tokyo. I love how in Japan tote bags can be worn as a fashionable item to accessorize your outfits with. Here's an example of how you can wear this cute tote bag in 3 different ways shown in the ViVi magazine.

Isn't it soooo cool? I'm loving tote bags more and more now. I'll show some pictures of how I style the two tote bags I got in an outfit post later so stay tuned! =)

Odaiba: Venus Fort

VENUS FORT! The most beautiful mall in Odaiba. If you are visiting Odaiba then you definitely don't want to miss out on shopping at the Venus Fort mall. I have always dreamed of coming to this place ever since I saw it on Japanese TV shows and dramas. Everything about the mall is simply so amazing! ₍₍ ( ๑॔˃̶◡ ˂̶๑॓)◞♡

The interior design of the mall inside is inspired by the style of a 18th century South European town. The mall features over a hundred shops, fashion boutiques, cafes and restaurants on three floors including a few outlets shops on the upper 3rd floor. There are sooooooo many shops here and things to see it is simply beautiful! I really like the design of all the buildings and the little details, especially the fake "clouds ceiling" that gives an illusion that you are actually outdoors while being inside the mall. I couldn't stop admiring and looking at the pretty designs. (∩˃o˂∩)♡ It also changes colour accordingly to the time of the day from sunrise, noon, sunset to night view. Isn't it like the most amazing thing ever?! I'm just soooo in love! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Odaiba: Rainbow Bridge

ODAIBA! Please take me back to this most beautiful place in Tokyo. Going to Odaiba and seeing the Rainbow bridge night view has to be one of the most memorable experience on my first Japan trip! I have always dreamed of seeing this beautiful view that I often see in Japanese dramas, music videos, and TV shows. I don't think pictures or video can totally capture the beauty of the view in Odaiba and the Rainbow bridge at night. It is simply so gorgeous and beautiful in real life! I could sit here for a whole night admiring this view and all its beauty.

How to get to Odaiba:

1. Take the JR train to Shimbashi station
2. Exit out from Shimbashi station and go up the escalators to board the Yurikamome Line train on the other side of the station on the upper level
3. Take the Yurikamome Line train and get off at Daiba station if you want to see the rainbow bridge and Fuji TV Building

Also a good advice to note down when you ride the Yurikamome Line train. If you want to record the whole train ride and view of Odaiba, be sure to board on the first cart on the train so that you are at the very front of the train. I recorded a video of myself boarding the train to Odiaba and back to Shimbashi station.

AQUA CITY mall. I didn't get a chance to shop at this mall when I visited Odaiba. I only shopped at the DiverCity mall and Venus Fort. There are simply too many malls and places to shop at in Odaiba. Next time I will definitely go into Aqua City mall! =)

In Odaiba, there is actually a really big statue of the liberty in the middle near the Rainbow brdige. Doesn't this view kind of looks and remind you of like New York? Lol. it is Tokyo's little version of New York. XD I attempted to take some selfies in front of the statue of the liberty but it was SO WINDY that day that my hair was always blown into my face and I look like a crazy old lady so I gave up on taking pictures. Odaiba is actually a lot colder than Tokyo so make sure you bring at least a jacket with you, which I did not bring with me and I was sooooo cold! (>___<)o

View of Rainbow bridge during the day. I love the little clock statue down at the dockside. Just imagine a romantic scene from a Japanese drama where the main characters are walking along the lake, lol.

I don't know what this is. Some kind of Japanese ancient structure? I thought it was interesting so I took a picture of it. Very touristy of me, lol.

Night view of the back and front of Fuji TV Building.

I spent sooooo much time in front of the Rainbow Bridge snapping pictures at different angles and views and even recorded a video. It is soooooooooo pretty in real life. I almost didn't want to leave this beautiful sight! (♥ω♥*)
