Doraemon Waku Waku Sky Park

Finally blogging about my experience at the Doraemon Waku Waku Sky Park in Hokkaido which is located right inside of the New Chitose airport! I have long dreamed of going to this place ever since I knew it existed. I can't believe I finally made this dream come true. One of my dream goals is to travel to all the Doraemon places in Japan. I have already been to the Doraemon museum in Kawasaki city so my next goal was the Waku Waku Sky Park in Hokkaido.

If you ever make a trip to Sapporo when you're in Japan, do check out this Doraemon park when you have a few hours to spare at the airport. It is definitely worth a visit if you are a big Doraemon fan like me!

The park is actually quite big and has many attractions and places to visit. A cafe to eat cute and yummy Doraemon themed food, a workshop if you are into making crafts and toys, a library to read all the Doraemon manga, and a gift shop to buy cute Doraemon souvenirs and gifts that is only sold in Hokkaido!

It cost 800 yen (about $8) for admission into the park where you get to venture in the magical world of Doraemon. The park is open from 10am-6:30pm. I'd recommend catching an early flight to Sapporo if you want to spend a full day at the park. There are also lots of other shops in the New Chitose airport such as the Royce Chocolate World shop which is located right next to the Doraemon Waku Waku Sky Park.

Getting to the park is super easy. After you have come out from the arrival terminal at the airport, take the escalators up to the 3rd floor and look for and follow signs to Smile Road which you will start seeing a lot of Doraemon and you'll know that are you heading towards the right direction! You can also rent lockers on the lower level at the arrival terminal for 400 yen to store your luggage so you can freely enjoy your time at the park without having to carry your luggage around.

Spotted this cute Doraemon statue close to the entrance of the park and couldn't resist to take a selfie making the same sticking tongue and one eye wink expression face as him, lol.

The famous Doraemon brick wall! This is the main entrance to the park. LOVE this brick wall soooo much. The best way to be welcomed to the park! 。^‿^。

Right pass and next to the brick wall is the Doraemon workshop and library which I actually sadly didn't have time to visit. I hope to visit it the next time I'm in Hokkaido again.

A free kids zone area where kids can play and run around. That round pudding looking thing at the back is actually a mini slide!

The very first thing you will see once you enter into the park is all the Doraemon characters welcoming you at the playground in the cartoon that you always see them hang out at.

Super huge Doraemon statue and me giving him a kiss! (○゜ε^○)

The "what if" telephone booth that can grant your wish with a simple phone call! What would you wish for if you had this gadget? I'd wish for a real life Doraemon so that he can make all my dreams come true! lol.

Chilling in Nobita's room.

What happened to the rest of my body?!

And how did my head get inside a purse? LOL.

Why is Shizuka-chan and I so surprised? What is inside that tunnel I'm pointing to?

It's a mini sized Doraemon! The tunnel that makes you smaller as you walk pass through it.

Me pretending to be scared and getting eaten by a mouse. And Doraemon's worst nightmare! lol.

Trying to sneak up on Nobita in a cutesy way and scare him. XD

With Doraemon and mini Dora imitating his expression again. (♡ >ω< ♡)

Super cute pictures of Doraemon displayed on the wall.

TIME TRAVEL MACHINE! One of my favourite gadgets that Doraemon own. I used to imagine how amazing it'd be to time travel to the future and the past with this machine.

A wall full of Doraemons each with a different expression. So cute!

When you are done visiting the park, don't forget to go to the amusement zone at the back and end of the park to take some Doraemon themed purikura photos to take home with you!

There are also a ton of UFO catcher machines that you can play and if you are lucky you can win some super cute and adorable Doraemon plushies!

PINK DORAEMONS! SOOO CUTE. I wanted one sooooo bad! (灬♥ω♥灬)

I had such a fun time at the Doraemon Waku Waku Sky Park. It definitely brings back so many good and nostalgic memories from my childhood. It is a park where I think both children and adults can fully enjoy themselves so I highly recommend you to visit!
